Apropos of Nothing

This blog is like the proverbial Gumpian box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get.

Here is a picture that has nothing to do with anything.  A Photoshopped non-sequitur:

Eric the Chicken has been kidnapped by a Ranga.  Fay Wray looks on in dismay.

It is here solely because every post should have a picture.

Or maybe it’s a metaphor for something.

How should I know?

Speaking of useless facts: Hoki in Roviana (my ex-wife’s language) is a rude word for lady parts.

Tika means “pelvic thrust”. It is what a Roviana lady might urgently cry when in the throes of passion.

Needless to say, the name of the town of Hokitika was the subject of much mirth, and the cause of a number of “naughty” postcards being sent to her sisters in Solomon Islands.

Though I am old with wandering Through hollow lands and hilly lands, I will find out where she has gone, And kiss her lips and take her hands; And walk among long dappled grass, And pluck till time and times are done, The silver apples of the moon, The golden apples of the sun.
