On this day in 1984 I met this lovely lady.

It was a Sunday. We met at a fundraising fete for the Christian Fellowship Church in Gizo, Solomon Islands.  I was a water supplies volunteer.  She thought I owned a yacht that was anchored in the bay.

In 1986 we married and two years later started our beautiful family.

But in 2010 we parted.  So it goes.

Best wishes to you all the same.

I hope you are happy.

That’s all I ever wanted for us both.

Though I am old with wandering Through hollow lands and hilly lands, I will find out where she has gone, And kiss her lips and take her hands; And walk among long dappled grass, And pluck till time and times are done, The silver apples of the moon, The golden apples of the sun.
