Ham Soliloquy

Tubby, or not tubby. That is the question.
Whether ’tis nobler in the end
to forgo the sausage and black pudding
and partake of simple grains and celery sticks
or to take umbrage at a sea of custard
and only have the banana.
for in that bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich
who knows what calories may lurk
to linger long and fill our rotund waist
with unseemly adiposity
