Dear Fitness Diary…

Dear Fitness Diary,

Yesterday I drove to the pool for my swim and water exercises but I was deterred by the number of cars in the car park, and children heading for the pool.

It looks like it would be best to stick to weekdays. Instead I drove to Woolworths and bought a silicone loaf tin, then to Aldi for the ingredients to make a low fat meatloaf.

I had this craving for meatloaf. It turned out ok!

In the afternoon I did a double load of washing in the camp laundry, and spent the waiting time doing a few exercises the physiotherapist prescribed. I had the laundromat to myself and turned it into my own private gym. Then a nice hot shower. I do like the showers here at Bribie Caravan Park.

I also like that great feeling of fresh clean sheets getting into bed after laundry day.

What is less pleasant is the extra aches and pains the next day, in a body still not yet accustomed to this much exercise.

Rest day today.

Though I am old with wandering Through hollow lands and hilly lands, I will find out where she has gone, And kiss her lips and take her hands; And walk among long dappled grass, And pluck till time and times are done, The silver apples of the moon, The golden apples of the sun.
