Committed

It was an auspicious omen.

The letterbox was cheap, and my favourite colour.

I have marked my territory.

No more complaints from Postie Bill.

Though I am old with wandering Through hollow lands and hilly lands, I will find out where she has gone, And kiss her lips and take her hands; And walk among long dappled grass, And pluck till time and times are done, The silver apples of the moon, The golden apples of the sun.

    1. Or maybe longer, Bob. I may be getting new knees, Neddy, And it will be on the health service as I don’t have health insurance. So I don’t want to jeopardise it by moving around.

Also, I am old, father William, and it’s commonly said
If you keep moving round, you’re not right in the head.
So I thought I might just stay in this place, instead.
I have all I need, just a roof and a bed.

      1. New knees will be great Neddy. My sisters have some and they gave them a new view of life, much more active after. Make every effort to get new knees then plan for more action.
