I don’t know where they suddenly came from, but there are now geckos everywhere. I can’t tell which or even how many species are here, whether they are native or the Asian interlopers, but I love their cheerful sounding chirps. These Bribie geckos are much more shy of human contact than those I’ve shared digs with previously. A quick glimpse and they are gone. But I hear them. That is always a pleasant sound.
