Sweeping out the corners and crannies of the caravan, I found this artefact amongst the detritus that I scooped up in the dustpan. I have cleaned out the caravan periodically before, so this is not something left behind by the previous owner.
I therefore conclude it is from something of mine.
It is stainless steel and can be picked up by a magnet. I assume, by its appearance, it has a Probably Useful Function. I have no idea what it may be, or from what it may have come.
My guess is a handle of a tap or something with a similar turning function.

If hollow maybe hose joiner or joiner

If it’s hollow, maybe it’s a fitting to connect two hoses.

Looks to me like an extension adaptor for a stand.
I have something similar that plugs into a cast iron base to support a light stand
